The Car Boot starts - New dates for 2012

Now in its 25th season

The car boot sales will start this year on Saturday March 31st and then every Saturday up to and including Saturday October 27th.

Except:
Saturdays May 26th, June 16th, July14th and 28th, August 25th and October 13th

Additional date - this year we are holding a car boot sale on August 27th Bank Holiday Monday.

Please Note:

We are pleased to announce that York Racecourse Car Boot Fair will be open – Saturday 19th May 2012.

Facilities

Free car parking is available (cars parked at own risk)
Free admission to the public (for boot sale only)
Refreshments available on site
Toilets situated in grandstand area

Gate Opening Times

We advise people to arrive between 7.00 a.m. and 7.30 a.m.

Car boot finishes at 1.00pm - All sellers must be off the site by 2pm.

Upon arrival on-site, join the queue at the grandstand end of the race course.

Once the gates have been opened, stewards will direct you to your pitch. Please see the beginners guide to car booting at York Racecourse.

Location

York Racecourse is situated just outside the city of York and has good motorway links by the M1 and A1. From any direction, just join the ring road to avoid the city centre, then it is well signposted and easy to find.

Size of the Car Boot Venue

We are one of the largest car boot venues within the area and have ample free car parking. To help with the smooth running of this event, please co-operate with stewards when parking.
